Globe-Like Object in Pinecrest, Miami

Miami, FL 1975(?)The witness, Pat, was in Miami going to Sunset Drugs on 57th Ave ( Red Road) to pick up a prescription. As she turned from 104 St. to 57th Ave. she saw a glove-shaped object at treetop level over a canal. The globe had a reflective, metallic surface and a curled-back platform which extented a little highter than the center of the globe. From under the platform shone beautiful turquoise and some white lights. Pat turned the car around and followed the object which was moving slowly and then hovering over the canal. Suddenly, without turning, the object took off to the southeast at an incredible speed. Amazed, Pat went home withough picking up the prescription.[ Mary Margaret Zimmer FL ASD FI]

Orlando Boomerang Zig-Zags

Orlando Feb. 17, 2007. Short Description of UFO Event: Saw a boomerang object with 3 lights flying VERY strangely. Detailed Description of the UFO Event: It was around 7:20-7:30pm ish and I was standing in my driveway waiting to be picked up by family to go to a dinner outing. The sky had a few clouds, but was otherwise clear. I occasionally looked up, as anyone bored and waiting would do, when I spotted what I thought was a plane since the lights were so bright. It moved pretty slow, but I realized it wasn't flying normally, it was flying in strange patterns and making EXTREMELY sudden direction changes without any sort of pause. (I.E.- left to right instantly) It was low enough and blocked out some of the stars enough to see it was distinctly boomerang shaped with 3 white lights. One on the tip and one on each 'wing'. It ascended and descended rapidly and made zig-zag motions(I joked that it looked like 2 people were fighting over the controls), it finally started to move in one direction but made one last jog in the opposite direction before continuing in the original direction. It disappeared, but it didn't just fly away, the lights just went out. Like someone just turned them off. I was very startled, when family arrived to get me only seconds later I was in a minor panic. My family is open to the idea of U.F.O.'s so I wasn't met with any criticism. I captured only one photo on my cell phone, but I don't think it's of much value, it's at an angle and you can only see the lights. It looks like airplane lights in the picture. But I've never heard of such a distinctly shaped airplane, I did a lot of research trying to find airplanes that look like what I saw. A few days later, a family friend who is a self-declared septic saw the same object flying in a similar motion. The only difference was that it shot off faster than anything he had ever seen. Needless to say, he now believes there is something out there worth investigating.

Black Object in Broward County

Oakland Park, October 1, 2007. II had received a mini DVD camera for Christmas and I wanted to practice shooting video so I went outside to shoot the airplanes going by. I pointed the camera up to capture a plane and that's when I saw this black object.  It looked very unnatural. My girlfriend was outside with me and she watched it with me. I tried to do the best I could at filming it but this was like the 3rd or 4th time I had ever used my camera.I filmed it until I couldn't see it anymore, it made no sound.and it seemed to come from out of no where.it kept changing shape and it was black on the outside with a bright light in the middle.[MUFON CMS files, Investigation in progress]

id  Sumter County Silver Sphere

Sumter County September 9, 2006. Our family was working on remodeling a house in Sumter county Florida and we had taken a break. standing on the roof of our house, I noticed in the distance a black dot, what I suspected was a hot air balloon moving in a roughly west to east direction. We have Hot air balloons come over from time to time accept the usually move in groups (balloon rally). We watched for a few minutes as the object move directly toward us and became larger. The object appear to be a silver sphere with a black dot on the bottom. Then it moved abruptly to the left (South). The item was some distance off and must have been quite large. I though at least 50 ft in diameter perhaps larger. There was no sound of any kind that I could hear as eminating from the sphere as it continued to move south. As it moved away the object climbed and eventually we could not see it. I photographed the object with the digital camera I was using to take progress pictures of the house. I assume this is a Radar target or something else, but it was definitely not a conventional hot air balloon. I had no unusual feelings of any type. This occurence was also witnessed by my parents and my brother.

Sunrise Two Cones

Sunrise, FL. July 15, 1980. I WAS SPENDING THE SUMMER WITH MY FATHER AND HIS NEW FAMILY.. WE WERE DRIVING HOME FROM DINNER ONE EVENING AND I WAS SITTING IN THE BACK SEAT OF MY FATHERS CAR. MY BROTHER WAS VERY YOUNG AND LOOKING AT DISTANT AIRPLANE RUNNING LIGHTS..HE ASKED ME "WHAT IS THAT". I LOOKED IN HIS DIRECTION AND EXPECTED TO SEE AN AIRPLANE.. INSTEAD SAW A LARGE, HOVERING SHINY BLACK OBJECT THAT WAS SHAPED LIKE TWO ICE CREAM CONES WITH POINTED ENDS FACING UP AND DOWN WITH A CIRCULAR RING AROUND THE CENTER AND A SMALL BALL SHAPED PART ON THE VERY TOP AND BOTTOM. I REMEMBER THAT IT SEEMED TO BE PERFECTLY STATIONARY AND MAYBE A QUARTER MILE FROM THE ROAD AND PROBABLY NEARLY 50 FEET IN HEIGHT AND 20 FEET WIDE AT ITS CENTER.....BECAUSE IT WAS ALMOST DARK AND THE TIME THAT HAS PASSED IM ONLY CERTAIN OF THE VISUAL DESCRIPTION AND NOT THE REAL SIZE. WE HAD STOPPED FOR A LONG STREET LIGHT AND I WAS YELLING FOR MY FATHER TO LOOK AT IT, BUT AFTER A FEW MOMENTS WE BEGAN TO DRIVE OFF AND AS WE DID, THE OBJECT WOBBLED AS IF IT WAS A PENDULUM, THAT IS, THE TOP STAYED STILL WHILE THE BOTTOM ROCKED BACK AND FORTH AND IN ROUGHLY THE SAME TIME IT SHOT UP AND TO THE LEFT QUICKLY AND OUT OF MY VEIW. I DO RECALL OTHER PEOPLE STANDING NEARBY... POSSIBLY FROM PARKED CARS THAT LOOKED TO BE WATCHING IT ALSO.

Niceville Silver Craft With Stripe

Niceville, May 21, 1996 The vehicle I saw on May 21, 1996, looked much like the one in Filer's Files #19 shown in the Oshawa, Canada story. My sighting was silver with a dark stripe running along the centerline of the fuselage.  My Father worked for Fairchild Aircraft in Crestview. One evening, they asked me if I wanted to go shopping, and when they got back they told me about the bizarre light show they witnessed over one of Eglin's Auxiliary Fields during their trip. It made headlines the next day in the Fort Walton Beach Newspaper. Thanks to Mark

GREEN BURNING BALL DOING FIGURE 8'S

Princeton, FL. July 2000. It was during the summer because I was off of school and I was riding my bike. I was turning the corner of my block and going down the road from my house which was about a distance of 800 feet or so. As I rode down the street I was looking at the houses next time mine and saw a green light hovering over a very large Ficus tree behind my house. I quickly stopped about 4 houses from my house to stare at it so I could get a good fixated view of what it could be. It quickly rose then did several figure 8's in a horizontal motion. It quickly stopped on the opposite side from where I first saw it. It then quickly retreated behind the large Ficus tree. I quickly, out of shock, yelled a "what the hell" and continued to ride down the street to see if anyone had seen it. No one did. If anyone saw this I would be most appreciated of your response. The area it was over was called Princeton - a small rural area outside Homestead, FL city limits.

"FULL MOON" IN WRONG PLACE

Jennifer Kunter writes, "A while ago, the July before the 9/11 attacks, I was fishing with my stepfather at the time at Bicentenial Park in Lantana, a park bordering the Intercoastal. Around three or four o'clock in the morning, we saw what look liked a full moon in the eastern part of the sky. I thought it to be a little strange seeing that at this time of morning  the moon should be on the western side of the sky.  The moon wasn't even full that night! It was positioned about where the sun would be if it were ten o'clock in the morning. Five o'clock rolled around and the "full moon" hasn't moved. It started to spook me out, so I suggested that we go home. I took it as a bad omen and expected something to happen the next day, but nothing did. So, I have no idea what I saw. Has anyone else witnessed something similar?"

In a later message Jennifer says. "I would guess it was about 1000 miles up. It looked like a normal moon, just a bit bigger like the moon was unusually close. Like, you wouldn't know it wasn't a moon if you didn't know what time it was. It looked almost like a new moon, that yellowish color. There were no sounds, and as far as I knew, time was normal. It wasn't really over the Intercoastal, it was over the trees beyond the Intercoastal. It gave off the normal moon glow. And it was round."

MOTHER MOTHER AND DAUGHTER SEE UFOs IN SOUTH MIAMI-DADE

On Labor Day 1976, at about 9:30 P.M. the witness, who was living on Lake Catalina in south Miami-Dade County, FL had just gone outside when she saw three UFOs over her house.  They were round disks about 12 ft. wide with lights all around them.   The witness called to her husband to come and look, but by the time he arrived outside, the objects had "bounced away" floating up and down, traveling from south to north, clearing the area in a few seconds.  No sound was heard and the weather was clear.

In the summer of of 1977 or 1978, Jenny, the daughter of the witness, who was then a high school student, was sleeping outside on the dock on the lake with a girl friend from high school. Although there was no noise,  Jenny woke up at 1:00 or 2:00 A.M. and looked up to see a UFO hovering stationary above her house. It moved to the house next door, then to the third house and suddenly disappeared. She described the object as round, silver in color, and shaped "like an old fashioned butter dish" with flickering red lights around it.  On first seeing the object she screamed for her friend to wake up and the other girl saw the object also.  Jenny estimated the size of the object as about 15 feet and said that she wanted it to take her up in it.

SIGHTING IN OKEECHOBEE, MAY, 2001

I 've always been skeptical about UFOs, until May 2001. I went to pick up my daughter from school around 6:00 P.M.. in Okeechobee and when we were coming back home to Kissimmee prairie it was dark. As I was about 2 miles from my camper trailer I saw a bright light hovering above the trees. I was not alone on this sighting; my three daughters were with me and they saw the light, too.We were coming into the prairie and when I saw this bright light I slowed down; I wasn't sure what to make of it. I did know I had never seen anything like it before. It was dark and the only thing I could see was the bright light flashing down in the trees. I knew it wasn't an airplane or helicopter because there wasn't any flashing colored light. This light stayed in one place until I got closer. When I got closer, about two blocks from it, the bright light turned off. This scared me. I knew whatever it was had seen the lights of my car so I hurried up and went home to my trailer which was four blocks north of the light.

When I got home I asked my husband if he'd seen the light and he said no, he was watching TV. I asked him to come outside and when he did I told him what I saw. He said it was an airplane; he didn't believe me.  While I was telling him about this bright light and looking in the same direction, the light came back on in the same place as before. We watched it for about fifteen minutes in one spot but it was not moving or making any noise. It was too dark to see anything except this bright light which just stayed in one place. After about fifteen minutes the lights turned off. I was really curious after this and stayed outside looking into the sky. Then, about five minutes from the time the light went off it reappeared north of my trailer over the trees again. This time it was moving slowly towards our trailer. I'd say it was about three blocks north of us this time. This was getting really scary by now. I could feel the hair on my arms standing up. We turned the lights on our car and the light in the sky went off. When the light reappeared for the third time it was a little further than before. This time it was over a cattle field. I kept an eye on it and couldn't believe what I saw. I saw lights being shot down from the huge light in the sky. I heard the noise the light beam made. I say "light beam" because that is the only type of noise I've ever heard like that.  That was on TV, so I'm not too fond of saying that. If I could describe it any other way I would.  When we saw this we jumped in our car and went closer to where other people lived.

In the prairie {Kissimmee} the houses and trailers  are not close to each other and in 2001 there were no street lights and the roads were not paved. I'd say there were about twenty houses in that area at the time. Around the area we were in we only had one neighbor who lived four blocks from us. The next day my three daughters went to school and asked our neighbor's kids if they'd seen the light and they said no, it was probably the military in the area. I'm from Louisiana and never saw such a thing before. I wouldn't know if it was military or not but I do know for a fact if wasn't a helicopter or airplane, for helicopters and airplanes don't stay in one spot for a long period of time and they have colored flashing lights and this didn't. SO FOR ME AND MY FAMILY IT WAS A UFO {UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT}.

In response to e-mail inquiries by MUFON Field Investigator Alex Lugones the witness writes:

As for the actual date of the sighting I don't really remember. But I do remember the time, It was after 6:00 P.M.. As for the size of the light, when I first saw it I was coming into the prairie, I noticed a bright light. Well, I thought it looked like a street light because from that distance it was that size..I knew it couldn't be a street light because as I mentioned in my article there were none at the time in the prairie. The only road that had street lights was the main road in. That's the road that runs to the Kissimmee wildlife reserve. The first block in that area had two houses; one was empty with no electricity and the other was the only house with electricity and a street light in their yard {it wasn't really a house, but they had people living in it.} Once I got closer I saw the street light I mentioned and this light {UFO LIGHT} was one block over . Now from my camper it looked like a street light but bigger and brighter and right above trees. We did not see anything else but the light. I'd say it was about ten feet higher than a street light. I was pretty close to it at one point. I was to close I didn't want to even go any closer than I was with out knowing what it was for sure. I will do my best in drawing /sketching this sighting and send it to you. I will e-mail it to you as soon as possible. Now for the remainder of the questions. Nothing unusual has happened since this sighting. My kids and I are as normal as could be. We didn't have electricity at the time for we lived in a camper. No one else ever mentioned anything about this to us. Like I said life went on as normal. I reported this sighting because I wanted someone else to know there are strange things going on out there in the sky and it's OK to talk about it.  I've kept this to myself and my family because I wasn't sure what it was and neighbors said it was military in area.
